I am Running Certain background works in tasks. but it doesn't know anything about the environment. It still check in dev folder db.php for db details. Where as my nginx working in fuel..

How i set environment in tasks from dev to Production

You need to tell oil in which environment it needs to run, it doesn't know anything about your webserver configuration.
