We're in the process of releasing 1.2.
As 1.2 is now frozen pending the release, new developments go into the 1.3/develop branch. It might be that there will never be a 1.3 release, but the features will be merged into 2.0 instead.
It could also be that 2.0 proves to be a lot of work, so we will release further 1.x versions.
It's isn't that we're working on 2.0 that all development of 1.x stops. And we will provide a clear and documented upgrade path from 1.x to 2.0 when it will be released.
