If you have multiple servers in a horizontal scaling scenario, you need to make sure ALL config is the same, not only this file.
That is your responsibility, not that of the framework.
The git configuration of the repo's is created for development purposes (and you don't want to commit these files to the repo), not for deployment purposes, that is your task as a developer.
