I was browsing the PDO docs and came across this:

I would like to learn how to integrate this as my PDO driver, because I'd be more comfortable using PDO directly than using Fuel's DB / PDO driver. My trouble is, I'm kind of at a loss as to how to implement that. Have any advice on how to integrate/extend the DB or PDO driver for "raw" PDO usage?
