I'm being a little silly now. However, It's the truth. I don't even know the difference between a CMS and web framework anymore. hehe
You are very correct. We can't tell the future and life isn't about guarantees. Anything could happen and if by chance Fuel isn't around a year from now, then so be it. I hope it is for you and your development team's sake.
Basically, you summed it up by mentioning, "We all have to make a living and can't spend all of our time involved in Open Source Projects." I couldn't agree with you more. Honestly, It still baffles the time that "non" core team members put into these projects without getting a dime.
As for my situation. I've lost a ton of clients and many future prospects because of the time spent in over researching. Actually, I shouldn't say that because I learned a lot about CMS and web frameworks and the pros and cons, etc..... Well, what I think are the pros and cons.
So, I'm basically starting from scratch and need to build my client base back up. I would love to contribute and be directly involved with such a powerful new infant in the framework industry but I am trying to put food on the table. LOL!
If I were to participate in something like an open source framework, it most certainly wouldn't be writing code (implementation). It would be on the architectural design side of the spectrum (principle/theory).
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
